What Is CrossFit?

WHO IS CROSSFIT GOOD FOR?

Everyone to be honest.  I know that sounds crazy but it's true.  Parents, grandparents, college students, adults, teens, youth and elite athletes of all levels.  Anybody that has a body can be an athlete at Mountain Loop CrossFit.  EVERY movement we do is scalable and suitable for all ages and physical conditions.   

The CrossFit prescription is performing "functional movements that are constantly varied at high intensity."  CrossFit is a core strength & conditioning program.  It is designed to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible.  Meaning, we do not specialize in a particular fitness program.  Rather we deliberately attempt to increase our abilities in each of the ten recognized fitness domains:

  • Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance
  • Stamina
  • Strength
  • Flexibility
  • Power
  • Speed
  • Coordination
  • Agility
  • Balance
  • Accuracy

CrossFit was developed to enhance an individuals competency at all physical tasks.  Our athletes are trained to perform successfully at multiple, diverse, and randomized physical challenges.  The goal is to be able to incorporate your training into your everyday living experiences.
