Mitch Roehl- Head Coach/Owner

Hi my name is Mitch Roehl I am the Owner and Head Coach here at Mountain Loop CrossFit. I have an amazing  daughter that was born on 2-20-2014 at 12:34pm! My love for Christ surpasses all. I love my family and friends above everything but also enjoy riding my dirt bike, going on hikes and also my new found addiction to hunting!

Started CrossFit in 2010! I have always been an active person, whether it was sports or outdoor activities. I found CrossFit after looking for something just a little more than the regular global gym thing. I wasn't hooked immediately but shortly after I started to make a commitment to health and fitness it really gravitated to my lifestyle. I really saw a change in my attitude and energy level.

About 2 years of going to classes I had another member of the gym come to me and say you should coach! And I pretty much ran with that! I have always loved coaching I coached little league football for 5 years when I got out of high school and then life just took up to much time to continue doing so! And coaching CrossFit just became natural with a lot of hard work of course! There is not a better feeling then helping someone become better and improve themselves with the help from my coaching. I hope to help as many people as I can through CrossFit! I truly believe CrossFit will and can help anyone become a better mom, dad, brother, sister, grandma, grandpa and the list can go on forever! I look forward to meeting lots of new friends and having you become part of the AWESOME CrossFit community!

I am blessed with 3 amazing kids, Matthew, Tyler and Emma.  We are Lake Stevens transplants but have lived here for over 10 years and we love the community.

I have been Crossfitting for over 4 years and it has transformed my life to say the least.  For 15 years I had struggled with Depression.  CrossFit has given me the strength to put that chapter of my life behind me.

Through the last decade I have been in a coaching capacity anywhere from aerobics, boot camps, personal training, and now CrossFit.  I love watching and helping people fall in love with fitness and take control of their physical and mental health. I have learned that in order to make a significant lifestyle change you have to enjoy your fitness program AND see results. That’s my primary goal as your coach, to make every class fun and to provide you with the tools to see the results you want. No matter what your goals are: weight loss, self confidence, increased fitness, lifting heavy crap over your head or whatever!  Our community at Mountain Loop is loving and caring and wants to see everyone improve.  Wherever you are in your life journey, we will welcome you with open arms!  Because we believe in the power of relationships.

I give 110% to everything I do and truly believe that I can never learn enough.  The more I know, the more I learn, the better I become, translates directly to my effectiveness to teach and coach you in reaching your goals. So come on in! And let’s crush those goals together!

MO-tivator - I was born in Seattle, while my entire childhood was raised in Lake Stevens. Home of the VIKINGS! Over the years I ventured around within Snohomish County, never moving far from this growing town; I love it here, and the community surrounding.  In my high school days, you would often spot me running 6 miles, walking 2 miles, biking or even roller blading 16 miles on Centennial Trail, staying active, always moving, and loving the outdoors in the PNW.

In 2009, I studied, interned and received my personal training certificate through W.I.T.S, where I decided to circuit-train others in the basement of my own home. Although that was a great experience and a door opener for many things, life happened, in which that came to an end. In the fall of 2011 right before my 30th birthday, I decided to walk into a CrossFit gym. Best decision & gift I could give myself in years. I obviously fell in love with the sport, the transformation I was seeing myself go through was extremely motivating for me, and others around me to keep going. I am the kind of person who falls in love with something, and gives my whole heart to it. That is just what I did with CrossFit; I gave it my all, and wanted to express to everyone what a great sport this is. CrossFit has been a life changer for me; I could not visualize my life without it. It’s not just a workout; it’s a lifestyle, a sport, a community, a family, a place I can call home, it is my happy place.

I joined Mountain Loop in September 2015, where I am grateful for the changes and opportunities Mountain Loop has presented to me. I am beyond excited to coach and express the love I have for CrossFit to so many more people in a different light.  I hope to continue being the Motivator and now Educator to all athletes I see come in those same doors.

I am a Washington native that spent several years in foggy San Francisco before returning home until to the semi sunny Lake Stevens.

CrossFit has been a huge part of my life for the past 4 years.  Before I found CrossFit I was 300lbs, lethargic, down on myself, and generally unhappy with how I was sliding by in life.  I can say with certainty that CrossFit has changed my life for the better and not just in the fitness capacity.

Through the years I have been fortunate enough to travel the world and meet some amazing people through CrossFit.  From the games in Carson, to the regionals in several regions, and dropping into a box or two in Europe, I have come to learn how special the connection is within the CrossFit community.

People from all walks of life participate in CrossFit and for many different reasons.  I know that for me if it wasn't for CrossFit, odds are that I would have never met some of the most impactful people in my life.

I decided I wanted to coach because of these awesome people and tangible experiences that changed my life.  To be able to bring people into an unknown and sometimes overwhelming environment and show them how much fun they can have while getting fit was a no brainer.

I am very thankful for Mitch, as he has allowed me to share my passion and love of the sport here at Mountain Loop CrossFit.  I look forward to sharing many positive experiences, "fun" WODS, and a protein shake with all of  you soon!

I was born and raised in Lake Stevens and after living all over the PNW I made Lake Stevens home again about 6 years ago.  It has always felt like home even though it has grown a lot I still enjoy the small community feeling it has.  I have always been active in sports striving to be in shape and healthy so I could compete at the level I wanted to.  I often found myself bored and not able to stick to a gym because of the monotony.

In October of 2013 I decided to show my support of my twin brother Mitch as he opened up his own CrossFit gym.  I went into this with the mindset of "I'm only going to do this to support my brother, it probably won't last very long".  I could not have been more wrong.  I left my first night of CrossFit hooked and could not wait to do it again.  At first I enjoyed the new things I was learning and all the new challenges and then my love for the sport just grew from there.  The thing I enjoy the most is the community aspect.  In all the sports I have played competitively I have never witnessed such a supportive group of people.  CrossFit has changed my life in so many ways.  From learning how to eat healthy to actually taking care of my body so that I can live a happy lasting life and making life long friends that I spend time with outside the gym.

I have always had a passion for coaching and helping others.  Throughout my journey I have found myself falling naturally into what I love to do.  Being a CrossFit coach is something I now look forward to each week.  The best feeling is to see someone improve on something and knowing I had a hand in helping them make that connection.

I look forward to being a positive and helpful influence on as many people as I can that walk through the doors at Mountain Loop CrossFit.  Come on in and say hi to a bunch of awesome fun people and let us help you reach your fitness goals while gaining the confidence to be a better you!

Married to my wonderful wife Rebecca who introduced me to Mountain Loop Crossfit in August of 2015 and we haven’t looked back. We have been married 23 years and have 3 great children together. Having moved and lived all over the world during my 26 year career in the Navy we have met some wonderful people, but never have we come across a greater group of individuals than here at Mountain Loop.

After a short year and a half of doing CrossFit, I am in better physical and mental condition than all my time spent in the military. The drive and compassion I have found and felt from the coaches and members here is phenomenal, which is the reason I wanted to become a coach. That way I could help guide and push others to become stronger, healthier and happier.

I am driven each day to become a better coach by learning something new for or from a class I have been a part of. You will not just be joining a “Gym” but a community that will help drive and push you to exceed your fitness goals.

Every day is a journey to a better “You” come join us and find your, New You.

I've lived in Lake Stevens since 2003, and although I did not grow up here, have spent the majority of my adult life in this community. Both my children, Hailey and Dylan, have been born and raised here and I wouldn't have it any other way. We love living here and I love that I have met and befriended so many amazing people through the years.

I started CrossFit in 2012 after facing some serious adversity in my personal life. I loved that CrossFit helped me to regain my strength, both emotionally and physically, and was an outlet for me. I loved it so much in fact, I wanted to share my passion with others and became a coach exactly one year after I got started. From that time forward, CrossFit became my one and only job. I immersed myself into learning as much as I could so that I could be the best coach possible and help as many people as possible.

Because my drive has always been to help other people, I knew I wanted to be able to help my athletes with more than just their workouts. I believe in a total wellness approach to fitness and so in early 2016 I became a certified Nutrition coach in order to help my athletes with another piece in their fitness journey. I have been offering private Nutrition Coaching since that time and have aided in the transformation of many clients.

CrossFit brought out my love for health and wellness and also lead me to my new career path. In July of 2017 I started my own business, Flourish Massage and Bodywork,  as a massage therapist here in Lake Stevens. Being a licensed massage therapist gives me one more way to help people live their best life possible.

I thank CrossFit for giving me so much over the past several years. I love the community I have become a part of, the friends I have made, the goals I have set for myself and achieved and the strength I gained to follow my dreams to a career I am proud of that allows me to help so many people in so many ways.

My hubby Dave and I have been married for 11 years and we have 4 awesome kiddos. Peyton our oldest daughter was accepted to West Point and is off fulfilling her dreams there. Zak is 9 he loves Legos and collecting scrap to build into new creations. Sam is 7 and loves all things pirate! Charlotte is almost 2 and loves doing things all by herself!  We thoroughly enjoy living here in Lake Stevens and playing at the lake as often as possible.

In college, I majored in Early Childhood Education and I have spent my last 19 years working with children in various areas. I spent many of those years in childcare before becoming a para-educator in a special education setting with the Everett School District. I've also spent a few of those years running a kids fitness program here in town and of course, my favorite, is just being a mom.

My crossfit journey started almost 2 years ago. I loved it from day 1. I'm so excited to be here at Mountain Loop sharing my love for crossfit with the children of this community.
